Why do you want me to capture your wedding day? How do you think you'll feel watching everything back in years to come?
We know the day will go by fast and hope for you to capture our special formal and especially the candid moments across the day with our family and close friends. We will be able to reminisce and feel all of the love all over again.
The Proposal? Tell me everything
I had planned to propose on Christmas Eve after coming home from work and after we watched Christmas Eve mass on tv. I had Kate open up a present before dinner which was an ornament styled like an engagement ring. When she opened the box and saw it she was immediately flabbergasted. As she turned around to face me i got down on one knee and asker her to marry me with the engagement ring in a little box.
When you're not in full wedding mode, how do spend your free time? What's your ideal day?
Kate is a school psychologist and Harry is a watchmaker. We enjoy spending time outside whether it is going to the beach, going for walks, riding our bikes, or sitting out in our front yard. We enjoy nights on our patio under the bistro lights with a drink while we play backgammon. We like to take local day trips, finding good food and drink places (i.e. lobster rolls or steak). We enjoy spending time with family/friends, playing games, and watching Clemson football.
Why did you choose the wedding venue? What was special about it when you seen it for the first time?
The location close to the beach and retractable roof allowing for the natural light and the feeling of being outside was our main attraction to the Tokeneke Club in Conneticut.
Tell me about your vision for the day itself. You can go in to as much detail as you like. Colour schemes, decor, food, atmosphere, the dress? What experience do you want to give your guests?
We are going for a classy and beachy vibe for our guests. We hope for the atmosphere to feel inviting and fun! Our colors are royal blue and coral with other natural tones. The venue has tons of natural light and bistro lights that add to the ambiance at night. Harry is a scotch aficionado so there will be a special bottle there for guests who enjoy it. We are hoping for lots of laughs, dancing, and good memories to be made. We will have special details on the gift table including a display of our parents and grandparents.
